Clovers Story

Fabulous Lady Luck    AKA    Clover was born on March 23, 2012 at 8:30am this darling chestnut snowflake filly had a rough start... she needed to be bottle fed for the first three days of her life before she learned to nurse on her own, this was later found to be due to her cheek and gums being fused together on the left side of her mouth. She was born with odd wart like skin leisions all over her body, her left ear was stuck backwards due to one blocking her ear canal, her left eye did not have a blink reflex though to be due to one of these skin lesions applying pressure to a nerve on the left side of her face. A sample was taken and sent for biopsy, she underwent two basic surgerys to remove the lesion in her ear and one in her nostral that was inhibiting her ability to breath properly... the results came back four days later and she was diagnosed with angiomatosis which is EXTREMALLY rare in horses, only 12 - 15 recorded cases exist breifly put they are the results of cells gone crazy the skin leisons are filled with red blood cells... the possibility of her having these lesions internally was just to high... the sad decision to humanly euthanize this sweet filly was made on Wednesday March 28th, 2012. She will live on forever in our hearts.

...THIS CONDITION IS NON HEREDITARY, IT IS A EXTREMALLY RARE AND RANDOM MEDICAL CONDITION...
